“THE FIRST BLOG’
Blogs seem to be everywhere these days. They are the new techno method of sharing ideas and information. Anybody can type out or record their thoughts, any thoughts, sending ideas out over the multiple forms of modern communication formats. In an instant, stories can be told to millions!
In reality, however, blogs aren’t new. They are really just remakes of the story telling techniques of old. From the beginning of time everything worth learning was handed down, word to mouth, from generation to generation. History, wisdom and short stories, with life lessons, were told and retold…ancient blogs! Every wise man, and even those NOT so wise, told their stories. Verbal blogs shaped societies mores, religions and human direction for centuries. Even Jesus taught in short “blog like” stories called parables, simple concepts with life lessons that changed lives and world views. So the next time you hear or read a blog, remember that the “FIRST BLOG” lessons are still with us today. What is really new is the fact that these blogs, old and new, can be preserved with the internet and similar technology. It that way we can keep the teaching alive, spreading ancient wisdom, coupled with modern concepts, into infinity!!!!!
