Life’s Detours

Nobody expects a detour … detours always take us by surprise. Detours occur when we are on track, making good time and not expecting a change … none the less, detours pop up and throw us off course. Detours force us to locate alternate routes, sometimes circuitous, long roundabout routes taken to avoid road blocks.

Detours don’t just happen on the road. Sometimes detours happen in life as well. Look at  COVID-19! The virus caused everyone, everywhere to change course and take a detour, a massive detour. Like all detours, however, we will eventually find a solution. Sure we may have to go down a route that is different than the usual BUT if we preserve we will surely find our way back on course, avoid the diversion, take the alternative route and resume our lives.

Nobody like a detour but experience tells us that if we follow the detour sign, we will find our way to our original destination !
