No More Normal
That’s right, normal has been redefined … normal no more! Throughout history normal changed with every natural disaster, war or life-changing invention. Before electricity was discovered, fireplaces, candles and oil lamps were the norm, BUT NOT ANYMORE. Horses to motor vehicles, ice boxes to energy efficient refrigerators and freezers, early telephones to cell phones and computers; not all shifts in normal were bad. Nevertheless these events caused confusion, unwanted changes and frustration for those individuals who refuse to embrace the new norms of the times. History, as we never seem to remember, does repeat itself. Why can't we learn? Sure these new changes are scary and can test our nerves BUT if we take the time to reflect on the passing normals of yesteryear, maybe we can decrease the present self imposed fear and stress and grow into the new norms of today … maybe we can all ZOOM into the future together!
