“OPEN UP”

“OPEN UP”, what a great concept! So many people live under the opposite premise. They are often “closed off”. They are closed to new ideas, closed to happiness, relationships and even faith. Opening up symbolizes the human ability of allowing energy to flow freely, thereby enjoying all that life itself can offer. Leonardo da Vinci, in his famous drawing of the Vitruvian Man, is based on the concept of the proportions of man, described by the ancient Roman Architect, Vitruvius. The drawing illustrates the perfect proportion of the human figure, with arms outstretched to fit within a circle and in a square. The intended lesson is one of balance and harmony. The drawing is a perfect example of opening up. With arms and legs outstretched, energy flows freely, harmoniously connecting both EARTHLY and DIVINE realms. What a great example of the importance and potential of human beings. Why then, do so many of us choose to stay closed. Instead of “Standing Tall”, with outstretched arms and legs, we fold inwardly, sometimes resorting to a protective fetal position. Energy cannot and will not flow with such constrictive attitudes. We need to learn from DaVinci's symbol, we need to let LOVE and SUNSHINE in. In that way we can truly achieve the greatness that God intended. Open up and let the positive energy flow!!!
